How to write the letter J in cursive:
The letter J is one of those pesky letters in the cursive alphabet that reall doesn’t look much like the standard English J at all, especially the capital J, otherwise known as an uppercase J. That being said, the cursive J is pretty simple to draw for both the upper case and lower case versions.
To draw a capital J in cursive start at the bottom line and draw a looping line going to the left and curving back all the way at the top and then looping around and going all the way past the bottom line and then loop back up and through like you are tyiing a knot. This letter can be drawn without lifting your pencil or pen off the paper one time.
To draw a lower case j in cursive act like you are drawing a cursive i like we learned yesterday but instead of hooking around toward the next letter in the word drop down below the bottom line and make a loop back up and through like the picture above indicates. Finish off your cursive j with a dot just above the middle line like you did with the letter i.
Tomorrow we will move on to the cursive k.
