Good morning class. Today we will learn how to draw a K in cursive.
Let’s begin with the capital K otherwise known as an upper case K. The capital K in cursive is very similar to the standard English letter K.
The only difference is the hook at the top left and the hook at the bottom right. To draw it start at the top left and make a slight hook up to the top line and then all the way down to the bottom line. Then move over about a half inch to the right and bring a line back to the middle of the letter. Then start in the same spot but go the other direction toward the bottom right and then hook up to connect to the next letter in your word.
To draw a lower case k in cursive you start out at the bottom left and draw a slanted line up to the top line and loop it back down to the bottom. Then retrace the line up to the middle line and hook it to the right making a tight oval that almost touches the retraced line but not quite. Then take it down the other way and hook it around to connect to the next letter in your word. Some people draw their lowercase cursive k without a loop and just with a flat line sticking up but that is not the correct way to do it. Practice drawing it the correct way. I hope everyone has a happy holiday today. Tomorrow we will move on to drawing a curive L.
