For this lesson, we will learn how to write the word Thanksgiving in cursive.

how to write Thanksgiving using the cursive alphabet

To write Thanksgiving in cursive you need to follow the same rules you do with all holidays.  The first letter of Thanksgiving should use a capital T.  The capital T will not be connected to the lower case h.  After that, all letters will flow and be connected together.  The lower case k should extend above the middle line but not all the way to the top line.  Both lower case gees should drop below the bottom line down to the line below that.  Your writing utensil shouldn’t come off the page until you are ready to dot the i’s.   Practice this over and over until you are really good at it.  Alternate writing the words November and Thanksgiving in cursive.

Cursive N

How to draw a cursive N:

The Cursive N is very similar to the cursive M, which we covered yesterday, only it has one less hump.

capital cursive N  Many people like to draw a small loop to start their capital N in cursive.  If you like loops, then start with a small loop at the top and then swing your line back around and down, slanted to the left.  Then retrace your line back up near the top and hook it over and down slightly slanted left again and then hook it back up to connect to the next word.

If you do not like loops you can draw your upper case cursive N like this picture below.

To draw a lower case n in cursive do basically the same thing you see above, only start it at the bottom line and bring up a hump to the middle line instead of the top line and then hump it again to let it flow to the next letter in your word.
